Are we more aware of what is going on with the presidential candidates than America?

I am appalled with the realization that so many Americans are unaware of what is going on in their own country when it comes to their OWN presidential candidates!
I saw on this 19 year old brooklyn friend of mine's facebook that her friend told her that she better vote from Mccain. When I asked her why, she said that her jewish community needed to put Mccain in power since Obama was a MUSLIM and he was going to give their land to the arabs...

The worse part is, I am not even surprised that they believe that because they just listen and believe wtv is said on t.v , on FOX news & in the news paper.
None of them fact checks the sources or knows that FOX actually always lies. Its killing me inside to know how easily Bush & Mccain manipulates them.

I ended up sending a few links to my friend showing her whats really going on & made her realise that maybe Mccain is the wrong choice for her AND AMeRICA.

I really hope she told her friends...AND HeR PAReNTS!!!!!

Elections

God, I wish I could vote for the Presidential elections in the states because it is SOOOO FRUSTRATING, to see that an IDIOT like McCain can be so close to beating the ONE person who could actually "SAVE" the UNITED STATES. I watched the presidential debate and it was just a freaking joke.
Senateur Mccain:" Im a maverick and now Im glad to say I have another maverick by my side(sara palin)." Are you freaking kidding me!
He has no idea what he is talking about, speaks in cercles and always plays the victim, bringing back the fact that he was in the Viet Nam war. Alright we get it, you were tortured, but that will NOT make you more qualified as a presidential candidate & will NOT give you the ability to take care of the disastrous economic crisis. Jesus!

Americans, please please please I BEG OF YOU, vote for BARACK OBAMA

As for Canadians, I mean, I dont feel like really either of the candidates are that adequate but the only party who has a chance of beating Harper a.k.a Canadian version of Bush or McCain would be M. Dion. So I suggest very strongly that you vote for The liberals because it is our only chance to get rid of the Conservatives and like the NDP says : conservaTUEUR.

thank you!

English and french in montreal

I was born in Montreal, in a french speaking family & as I grew older I realised that if I wanted to work somewhere else or let alone Live somewhere else, I would have to speak english. Now all my friends are anglophones and I spend most of my time speaking english unless Im home. This is just to say that I know some francophones can be rude when they hear anglophones talking but that is just a minority in Montreal. I mean if you move to Quebec city, then you'll know how it feels to be surrounded by people who just hate you because you are not french. Here in Montreal, (most of the time) as long as you just put a little effort in trying to speak french people are happy. It pisses me off too when I hear : "Hey on est au Québec ici, parle français Osti!" but that usually comes from ignorant douche bags who have no idea we can switch from french to english depending on who we are speaking to.
Although, I agree that it is a little rude when anglophones purposely DON'T try to speak french AT ALL when they are in a store or a restaurant, especially when they see the people struggling to understand & answer. I mean, if you went to Italy, wouldnt you TRY to speak italian because you are in their country? And if you went to mexico, wouldnt you TRY to speak spanish, just out of respect?
If you come from another province or country and can't speak french at all, you'll eventually pick up a few phrases you can use in your everyday life & that's fine but I got to be the devil's advocate here and say that the francophones are not the only ones being bluntly rude. It goes both ways.
